feedback reflections

From the surveys I sent out, I feel good. I feel like much of what I though has been confirmed. Such as, the group feels this is valuable, they feel this is informative, the like the tips, they would do this again. The consensus seems to be that the hardest thing is for them to remember to get out to the website and check the forum. It is so different for them. They are so used to using email to communicate within the company and also socially, nearly everything comes in via that. It seems the only time they think of checking it is in fact, when I send the weekly email. How do I deal with this? What does this mean? I'm coming back to the idea of timing, although I think all of them are capable of using this technology I don't think the motivation is there, no matter what i post out there. Also, this makes me think of my own adaption. I can honestly say that if I didn't have a class that I paid for on a forum, I probably wouldn't check it or particpate or migrate to this behavoir very easily either. The motivation of a degree and paying for classes was what changed my behavoir. I don't have that with this group.

Timing?

THe timing thing really keeps popping back into my head. Although I think this technology is appropriate for the group, I'm not sure the timing is. I think they might need more of an example of why it might be useful. ALso I'm really thinking I might need to meet the group some where in between. I'm thinking no matter how valuable the info, I can't get the habit formed quite yet. I'm thinking of archiving messages....

Tipping Point

Some of the reading this term has really made me think differently about my ARP. The concept of the tipping point, particularily. I can see my forum mhas not "tipped" for whatever reason. It makes me think it's not sticky enough. How can I make it more sticky? How can I package this so it would be "stickier" for the members of the group? I know I could "bribe" them with prizes and things but I don't think that's truly what this refers to. I'm going to really have to think about this differently? What do I have that I could offer to share? Not everything can tip. there is timing involved. Maybe this isn't the right time?

Forcing it?

I feel like when I send out my weekly tip/email, that gets people to the forum and reminds them to check it. I feel like they don't think of doing it otherwise. The idea of creating a habit is much more difficult than I anticipated. I found this in my C1 but despite adding the value the gropu agreed upon for an enticer, it is still difficult to get people there, habitually. I feel kind of like I keep pushing and pushing but only a few respond. I truly believe that the members of the group think this is a good idea and see it could be beneficial.
